People living in the outskirts of Tijuana lack access to dental hygiene education, preventive measures and affordable dental care. Our GG will improve dental health in the community, specially in children; with an improved dental health school absenteeism will be reduced, parents will not miss work due to the need to take care of their children who when suffering of a weak dental health, present other illnesses originated by non treated cavities that become infected.
We will provide dental equipment for an existing dental clinic of Pro Salud, a non government, non profit organization, which offers prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases to the community that lacks government sponsored dental health care. population in the area is approximately 200,000 inhabitants.
Time line to implement this project, once the funds are received is as follows:
Placing order and receipt of equipment Two to Four weeks.
Delivery of Equipment to Pro Salud Two to Three days
