Project Objectives

To help the poor tribal children have access to receive Computer Education in Kodaikanal Community in Tamil Nadu - India.

To distribute Sufficient Number of Computers with Furnitures to all Government/Private Managing Tamil Medium School Students.

Brief Project Summary

Kodaikanal , a hillstation in tamilnadu ,India has around 40 Tamil Medium primary and Higher Secondary schools .The students are from very poor and Rural background. As these schools do not have any Computer facility for the students, the children are not able to learn even basic things about Computer. A few schools have very old out dated computers that are not able to support the children have regular practice of the things they learn every day in their schools.

As computers are as indispensable for education, it would be a great benefit to these schools if they could have computers along with the Table and chair and a printer for each school to aid them in Teaching through computers which would be a great help for their future.

Project Beneficiaries

Around 40 Tamil Medium schools in and around kodaikanal with more than 15,000 School Students will be Benefitting from this Project.

Area of Focus

All Tamil Medium Government and Government Aided Schools mostly in rural Areas .

Project Sustainability

The Computers will be Permanent in all the Schools and an Annual maintenance and up gradation of the software if required will be done by the beneficiary Schools with the help of Parent Teacher Association.

Expected Project Impact

A great public image for Rotary in Schools and development of each Child who will be benefitting from this project as these computers will change their lives .

Role of Rotarians

Implementation of the Project will be carried out carefully by the Project committee consisting of the Primary, secondary Contacts from the RC of Kodaikanal and the representing members of the School Managements and key persons from the local Communities in the benefiting Schools location.

From the time of receiving the Global Grants till the completion of this project, the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal will regularly submit the project Report explaining all stages of the project's progress till the time of submitting the completion report with pictures audited statement.

Proposed Project Implementation Date

Two months from the date of receiving the Funds from Rotary International in the Rotary Year 2019 - 2020.

Proposed Project Completion Date

Within 2 months after receiving the Funds/Grant.
