Rotary Club of Jammu has decided to start of Project on Low Risk Surgeries of needy BPL Patients. The project aimed to cover the BPL patients who die due to such ailments which requires surgeries and they cannot get it due to lack of resources.
The club will hold the camps specially in remote areas of Jammu and such poor patients will be selected for free surgeries in good hospitals in Jammu area by the RC Jammu .
The club will initially work on Cataract , Uterus and Gall bladder surgery., the Approximate cost of such surgeries comes to Rs.5000, 30000 and 20000 respectively.
The best hospitals in the area will be selected for such surgeries.
There are very remote area in Jammu where such facilities are not available and the club will target only those areas only .
The full support will be given by the club including medicines required indoor.
A committee including respective doctors will be formed and the selection of patients and hospitals will done by the Committee only

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
