The Otorhinolaryngology Service of Santo Antônio Hospital - Sister Dulce Social Work Association - (https://www.irmadulce.org.br/english/site/index) is responsible for treating approximately 2,500 patients / month, providing a medical care and benefiting needy population of Salvador and many other cities in Bahia state. Rotary Club of Bahia supported the construction of the 11th operating room in Santo Antônio Hospital (GG1745280), making it possible to increase the amount of surgeries. However, existing ENT surgical instruments are obsolete and several sets of instruments and equipment are still incomplete. The donation of these instruments/ equipments by Rotary club will increase the flow of otorhinolaryngology surgeries, enabling the productivity of more than two operating rooms simultaneously, promoting resolution to the Santo Antônio Hospital and benefiting many other needy patients.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
