Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: Cachoeira Do Sul - Rs Total Budget: $30,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development The project will be implemented at APAE (Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional) in the city of Cachoeira do Sul-RS. Currently 196 people are served, since newborn babies to adulthood receiving pedagogical assistance (seeking to develop the cognitive, affective, psychomotor and activities of daily living, regardless of habits and hygiene). The high cost of electricity, due to financial difficulties, neglect other investments in improvements that could be prioritized to give more comfort to students as well as further qualify the service. The aim of the project is to improve APAE's infrastructure by installing a photovoltaic kit and acquiring air conditioners which will bring cost savings, improvements to user services and preservation of the ENVIRONMENT.
