The Abuloma medical center caters primarily for 4 communities, mamely Abuloma, Okuru Ama, Fimie, and Amadi-Ama, but it is poorly equipped consequently attendance by the communities to this health center is very poor considering the fact the areas are densely populated. The need assessment was carried out with the Hospital management, anc a list of basic requirements was drawn up. This will improve the facilities to enhance the delivery of a more comprehensive health care and improve partronage by the host communities. As a result of lack of necessary equipment, pregnant women and members of the community are not attending the health center. In most cases the center serves as referral, patients are referred to the far away hospitals, creating lack of trust for good medical care. Present attendance for pregnant women is between 60-80 on visit days
