Project Description Region: Africa Country: Kenya Location: Nairobi Total Budget: $76,701 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene 5 schools with well over 4,500 pupils have inadequate WASH facilities . Water Connections are leaking or missing Toilets have collapsed or in a sorry state of disrepair Hand wash Stations dry or very inadequate in this covid-19 situation Collapsed perimeter fence exposes school to vandalism of Borehole water uptake too costly for public school Our Rotary club aims to meet the needs by carrying out the following : Renovate and repair broken water connections Train school in WASH and maintain links Repair broken perimeter fence Timeline : We plan to complete the repairs over 3 months before schools reopen Members Involvement :In the supervision of repairs , To train up the WASH teams in schools ,involve the School management board and users in maintenance of the facilities going forward.
