The Home for the Elderly Santa Rita de Cássia in the city of Barbosa Ferraz - Pr., Is the largest charity in the municipality of Barbosa Ferraz - Paraná State - Brazil. It welcomes, cares for, treats and feeds all the helpless and needy elderly in our community, and is often neglected by their family nuclei, collectivity, organs and local authorities. As it is the largest charitable organization in the locality, every community in Barbados gets involved and contributes to the organization in all its actions, including the Rotary Club of Barbosa Ferraz - Celeiro do Paraná. Over the past few years, the board of the entity of Lar dos Idosos, behind meetings and activities carried out, has always led to the need to readjust the entity's facilities, especially the Kitchen and Infirmary to better serve the elderly welcomed. From then on, the community has been striving to make resources available in order to meet the entity's numerous demands. The Rotary Club of Barbosa Ferraz - Celeiro do Paraná, in turn, attentive to these demands, intensified its actions together with the entity and the community to make possible through the Rotaria Foundation conditions to apply for a Global Subsidy Project to serve them. With this, the objective of this Global Project is to acquire subsidies to precisely develop actions through the purchase of equipment, furniture and food utensils (INDUSTRIAL KITCHEN) and hospital (NURSERY) that can prevent and treat diseases, providing the elderly with QUALITY OF LIFE with a healthy and balanced diet, preventing and fighting any diseases that affect them, avoiding and reflexively reducing the mortality of the elderly cared for by the entity. Likewise, the Industrial Kitchen and the Infirmary will serve the community, in which training will be carried out in order to carry out good practices in the manufacture of healthy foods and, above all, in the improvement of hospital ward care. As if that were not enough, in the case of the Industrial Kitchen, it will enable the financial resources for an entity to become viable, making it economically self-sustainable. In the environmental aspect, this is a durable and sustainable project in its essence, as it will generate a huge impact on the local community, contributing to the quality of care and WELFARE of the Elderly who reside in the Nursing Home. The 33 elderly will be welcomed and cared for by the team of professionals and volunteers from the Santa Rita de Cássia de Barbosa Ferraz Nursing Home.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
