Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Chennai Total Budget: $30,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy View Online Proposal Form Rotary club of Madras T Nagar has identified this viable project which will be benenficial to household ladies with optimum qualifications to learn to teach school children upto 5th standard which is under women empowerment project of our club. This school Vivekananda Educational trust is to train the lady candidates under women empowerment and after learning 3 months', qualified candidates will be granted with a Government approved certificate. With that they can get employment in any elementary english medium school or they can conduct coaching classes upto 5th standard to Enclish medium school students. In addition to this the Vivekananda trust is also developing the standard of the school to train both boys and girls to learn upto 12th standard after their 10th standard, which is now available Now it is constructing buildings to develop classes for XI and XII standards also apart from women education to teach the children program. This school needs laboratory and class room furniture from us. This school is not an aided school.This is supported by the surrounding public and by Rotary club of Madras T Nagar.
