Provide medical equipment for the High Obstetric Risk Unit (UARO) at the San José de Buga Hospital Foundation, which allows care of pregnant women with pregnancy pathologies that put the mother-child binomial at risk in Buga and the 5 municipalities of influence and of the center and north of Valle. Our institution is a second and third level care hospital and the most important referral hospital in the center and north of Valle del Cauca, serving the neediest population in Buga and municipalities in the area of influence, including pregnant women not covered by the health system, displaced families and immigrants. During a year 8,400 pregnant women with obstetric-gynecological diseases are treated, with 2,760 hospitalizations and 10-15% of high obstetric risk. We intend to provide a UARO in order to avoid morbidity, complications, mother-child mortality, as well as the referral of these patients to other cities. The beneficiary population will be pregnant women and their families from Guadalajara de Buga, municipalities in the area of influence, central and northern Valle del Cauca.Initially, there was a manifestation of the need for a UARO by pregnant women through satisfaction surveys from the Hospital User Service Office. The Hospital Users Association also conveyed through meetings the need to have a UARO equipped with equipment to care for these pregnant women. These needs reached the Management of the San José de Buga Hospital Foundation, which motivated the analysis with the Gynecology-Obstetrics and Neonatal ICU service, meetings to evaluate this need were expressed by the community, which was clear and recorded in the minutes of meeting. From there, the project for the endowment of a UARO for the San José de Buga Hospital Foundation was developed.
This project needs to receive some pledges to go to the next level. Please check the "Financing" tab to see the list of current pledges. Once the amount pledged is equal to the project budget, the status of the project will be automatically changed to "Fully Pledged". Click here to pledge support for this project.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
