Established 76 years ago to fight tuberculosis, the "Benjamin Guimarães" Foundation is a philanthropic institution that maintains the "Hospital da Baleia", a state reference of excellence in health. Qualified as a Teaching Hospital, "Baleia" is a general hospital that offers 30 medical specialties and 95% of its care is directed to the free public health system.
The "Hospital da Baleia" offers 30 medical specialties and, among theses, holds 6 reference centers in Minas Gerais State.
The "Hospital da Baleia" assists patients from 88% of counties in Minas Gerais State.
PROJECT'S GOAL:
Increase the quality and quantity of meals served to patients every day, through the purchase of new equipment.
The new equipment will allow "Hospital da Baleia" to offer an adequate and balanced diet, with special attention to hygiene and, aiming at the maintenance and recovery of health, as well as assist in the development of healthier eating habits.
DAILY KITCHEN'S CHALLENGE:
2,500 meals/day;
18 operational employees;
85% of the service is performed manually;
24 hours of daily operation.
