It is said that India lives in its villages. About 70% of the Indian Population lives in rural
areas but about 80% of the health infrastructure, medical personnel and other health
resources are concentrated in urban areas. Rural healthcare in India is characterized by a
huge gap between supply and demand where the rural health care needs are met by either
limited government facilities and private nursing homes. Private Nursing Homes are mostly out of reach of poor rural population.
Located in a Rural Area, the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital is a solution for High
Quality Medical Care for the Rural Poor in and around the areas of Chikkaballapur District and
Bangalore Rural. Patients come to the hospital from neighboring districts as well. The best part is that all treatment in this hospital are totally free of cost. There are no cash counters in this hospital. Not only treatment, staying and food also are given to all the in and out patients.
They are in urgent need of some equipments for their cardiac OT. We are sure that if we make these equipments available to them, it is going to be of immense relief of poor rural people as they will get totally free treatment and surgeries.
The equipments they need is 1 No. Anaesthesia Machine, 1 No,. Patient Monitor, 1 No. OT Light with camera and recording system and 1 No. Electrocautery Machine. Total cost of all these equipments will come around INR36,60,000.00 (USD 44630).
