Project Description Region: South America Country: Venezuela Location: Valera Total Budget: $81,718 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment This project contributes to the early diagnosis of diseases in patients from the State of Trujillo, Venezuela, and surrounding areas. In addition to activating the first Molecular Biology Laboratory in the State, to determine by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) multiple viral and bacterial diseases, mainly Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) tests, solving the inconvenience that has been generated by referring them Out of state. Strengthening the early diagnosis of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) in patients attending the Trujillo State Anticancer Society (SADET). This subsidy project will allow the incorporation of HPV testing in the State of Trujillo, as a research protocol in the detection of cervical cancer.
