This community lacks direct drinking water service, its inhabitants suffer from stomach and skin diseases and their houses have low personal and domestic hygiene standards; they use latrines or relieve themselves in the bush. Currently they hire high expensives water cisterns to supply themselves with drinking water and have containers to store water that do not meet the minimum standards of protection and hygiene.
The main objective of the project is to supply drinking water to the community through the construction of a well with its distribution net. This objective will be raised throuhg the construction of a 120 meter well, with 1 water purification system, 1 storage tank with a capacity of 40,000 liters and a piped distribution network of 2500 meters.
This project involves the creation of a Water Committee with the community leaders, which will be an active part of the project and will control the community's payment rates. In addition, the project contemplates the formation of the community regarding the use and correct use of water as well as how to improve hygiene and sanitation conditions.

Total
$87,284
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
