Project Description Region: South America Country: Colombia Location: Tulua Total Budget: $41,350 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment A SMILE FOR LIFE PHASE II OBJECTIVES provide rehabilitation to 40 low-income patients whit cleft lip, and palate CLP from Tuluá and its área of influence, for a periodo of three years and provide the whit high quality tratments in the áreas of surgery, orthopaedics, orthodontic, paediatric, dentistry, language, therspy, diagnistic test. The Tuluá el Lago Rotary Club has more than years of experience caring for patients whih CLP and has managed to establish alkiances whith public and private health entities and whith professionals in the health área. We use the services provide by the national systen, which are specifically some surgical procedures. The "A Smile for life" project Will cover Orthopaedics, paediatric, dentistry, language therapy, diagnostic exams, and surgery services not covered by the system, which majes the rehabilitation ofniur patients posible. This project includes training for parents so that they are important actors in the process and become empowered by it, and they the patients receice clear and timely informations about the the treatments We are providing the and hall the health and logistic personnel who are parte of project acta in coordinated manner bases on experience acquired over the years.
