Project Description

Region: Asia

Country: India

Location: Macherla

Total Budget: $36,083

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

The purpose of this project is to construct and renovate the toilets urinals and hand washing stations of 1000 plus students studying in 2 government schools. Right now only 5 toilets and 10 urinals exist which are in dilapidated condition as they run out of their life . The condition of the toilets makes it difficult for the matured girl students to continue their education. 26000$ is committed by club and district. We need 10000$ from international partners so that we can submit the global grant application and get the approval

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
