Project Description Region: South America Country: Perú Location: Trujillo Total Budget: $395,000 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene Rotary Club Trujillo California's Water Project "El Alto" Jequetepeque, address the need of provision of drinking water suitable for human consumption for the Human Settlement El Alto, located in the District of Jequetepeque, Pacasmayo Province, La Libertad Department, Perú. Our project will meet this need of 1,540 inhabitants,by connecting to a network built by the Municipality for which a 100 cubic meters elevated tank and primary and secondary distribution lines which will reach each home, will be built by our Project. The Project funds will be used to buil the 100 cubic meters elevated tank and the distribution lines that reach each home. We as Rotarian club members are involved in help people of this Human Settlement "El Alto" to have access to safe water and sanitation, basic services that allow them a better quality of life. Also we expect positive environmental changes to result from the project such as reduction of mosquito and cricket pests. Thank you very much.
