The Regional Hospital of Tropical Medicine Julio César Demarini Caro (HRMTJCDC), serves as the medical center with the highest case resolution rate in Selva Central (600,000 inhabitants). The Neonatology service relies on 02 incubators that have been used for 19 years and this only covers its needs in 17% of the real capacity.
Our Club proposes to implement the UCIN service by adding 03 incubators and 03 CPAPs
Our hospital handles 1,110 births per year, 263 newborns are needed of the Neonatology service which implies 1,700 days of hospitalization.
With this acquisition the performance of the care will improve in 65% anually.
The goal of the project is to reduce infant mortality in Selva Central through equipped NICU rooms, so the risk of complications or irreversible damage in newborns who need to receive appropriate care at the time of vulnerability is avoided.
The acquired equipment will be owned by the Hospital, which will take on the responsability of budgeting the preventing or corrective maintenance for the program.
The provider will issue a 2-year warranty, provide a stock of spare parts and training of personnel on the use of the equipment.
The Hospital also provides permanent training for rotating staff on the use of the equipment
