Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Mumbai Total Budget: $500,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Project Name - GIFT OF LIFE Brief detail - Providing Pediatric heart surgeries for the underprivileged children of age 0-10 years suffering from CHD (Congenital Heart Disease). Support under the project -100% expenses for the surgery and expenses towards stay of parents at the hospital & counseling till the child is discharged. Name/ location of the hospital - Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital for Child Heart Care, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Community likely to benefit- Ailing children of all caste, creed and religion from all over India and abroad. Project Duration- Ongoing; including the current year, Rotary Club of Bombay Airport(RCBA) provided expenses for supporting surgery of nearly 500 children. Total amount - For all four Global Grants under GIFT OF LIFE has been close to US $850,000. Status of Global Grant Reporting-All reporting on Rotary Foundation Global Grant is done by RCBA and is complete till the date.
