If the activity is a scholarship, enter "N/A". This is a projeck intended to assist rural schools with clean water by providng them with water harvesting tanks. The targeted schools a located in rural areas of Uganda with hardly access to clean water. The project if implemented will reduce on water bone deseases, save time for the pupils to attend class and therefore improving their academic perfomance. 2. Project to provide water tanks to rural schools. Need to address; Provide clean drinking water to the pupils/students both girls and boys. Potential benefit: The school children and teachers will no longer fetch water for drinking anmd washing from water ponds/dams. The health hazard paused by dirty water,will be reduced/minimised Therefore reducing on the Water borne diseases in th epupils/students. Also, a lot of teaching time is lost because water sources are located 2-3 kilometers from the school. With the provision of water tanks this will be addresses and consquently time will be saved for class time and this will in effect improve the academic performance of these schools. 2. Short term- reduction of water bone deseases Long term - improved health and improved academic perfomance 2.
