Humanitarian project for the renovation of the Technological Park of the Hospital Infantil Dr. Jeser Amarante Faria in Joinvillense, state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. Acquire 03 vital signs monitors and 2 surgical tables that will assist approximately 140 thousand children per year, children and adolescents aged 0 to 18 years old, patients from 25 municipalities in the state of Santa Catarina.

The project will take place at Hospital Infantil Dr Jeser Amarante Faria in the city of Joinville, in the north of the state of Santa Catarina, in the southern region of Brazil. In the hospitalization and surgical center areas of the hospital.

The Rotary Club of Joinville Cidade das Flores intends to replace obsolete equipment from the Hospitalization Sector and the Surgical Center of the Children's Hospital mentioned above. The 19 Rotarians are committed to finding national and international partners to achieve the proposed goal.

By replacing old equipment with new equipment, Rotarians who are partners in this project will ensure the quality of care for children, ensuring free care with greater efficiency, reaching an audience of around 140,000 children.

Describe the community needs that your project will address.

With the replacement of hospital equipment that is currently obsolete, there will be a more effective diagnostic capacity, better working conditions for the professionals involved and its purpose is to increase the level of confidence of patients and the effective improvement in recovery.

How did your project team identify these needs.

The rotarians from the Rotary Club of Joinville-Cidade das Flores visited the hospital and together with their administrative staff and informed us of the need to replace obsolete equipment.

How were members of the benefiting community involved in finding solutions.

With the high demand for care (11.000 children per month), the hospital team's mission is to improve care for all patients with humanization, excellence, technology and scientific knowledge.

How were community members involved in planning the project.

With the best working conditions for professionals, there will be a prospect of faster recovery for patients and shorter hospital stays.

We will use the publicity on TV, in social networks and Rotarians bulletins to encourage people and the private companies to be partners of the Hospital.

The community members participate only when the children bring home or to school to any distance activity. Families and school will give them the support to correct handling and care.
