   Dominican Republic - Salcedo

Physiotherapy Center

$13,386

The target of this project is to equip a physiotherapy center to provide physical rehabilitation and therapy to poor people in the City of Salcedo, Dominican Republic.

The intended beneficiares are children, adults and the elderly of modest means in the City of Salcedo and its municipalities of Tenares and Villa Tapia.

It is a project that will be extremely beneficial to the community. Salcedo is a small province with limited facilities. And people with disabilities currently must travel considerable distances to other cities for physical therapy services. Health services in the city are almost nonexistent, most people don't have a car which makes it even more expensive and hard for them to get the help they need.
