Dictionary Project

The purpose of the project is to provide every Third Grade child with their own personal dictionary in the public schools of San Pablo City. The Grade 3 pupils we chosen because they begin to work independently and to discover understand the meaning of words which will help children better understand their surroundings and share information. This will also help students in their homework and as an essential tool for quality education. It is also a good companion for problem solving with regards to reading, writing and creative thinking abilities.This project will benefit almost 9,200 Grade 3 pupils in all public elementary schools in San Pablo City.This would be one of the more cost effective projects considering the cost of each dictionary and the number of beneficiaries involved. Empowerment through literacy can work in so many ways and the repercussion could be wide and its effect could be both individually and collectively. A strong vocabulary is an essential tool for gaining knowledge. With knowledge follows good education. And education is the key for a personal, social and economic opportunity.
