Background B.A.S.E. Camp
In 1986 several Larimer County organizations, community leaders, and businesses contributed the leadership, funding, and logistical support to develop B.A.S.E. Camp, which began providing services at three sites serving 75 children in the fall of 1988. In the 25 years since then, we've expanded to 33 schools serving over 3,250 students (ages 3 to 14) from pre-school through 7th grade. Out of school times services include preschool programs, before and after school services, school out days (winter & spring breaks, teacher conferences, etc.), enrichment programs, and summer camp.
Services are provided on site at every elementary school in the Poudre School District, two Thompson Valley District schools, and at St. Joseph Elementary. Our on-site school locations offer accessibility, safety, and familiarity for both children and families.
No child is turned away at B.A.S.E. Camp for financial reasons. With our sliding fees based upon a family's ability-to-pay we help to insure that every family can afford our services and are able to find suitable activities for their child.
