Summary: The Foothills Rotary Club of Fort Collins, Colorado will assemble 10,000 meals consisting of rice, lentils, dehydrated vegetables and vitamins to areas considered of highest need by the St6op Hunger Now organization.
The Stop Hunger Now organization has worked with Rotary Clubs across the nation and, most recently, with participants at the Rotary International Conference in Seoul, South Korea. The conference participants constructed 150,000 meals that were then provided to Cambodia. Stop Hunger now provides the materials, equipment, and delivery to the club which provides the funding, at $0.34 per meal, the venue and the labor. The Stop Hunger Now organization determines the recipient location of greatest need and ships the meals to that location.
We will sign an MOU with Stop Hunger Now by July 29, 2016 and accomplish the project in October 2016. The funds will be used to purchase the materials to construct 10,000 meals at $0.34 a meal for a total cost of $3,400. Foothills Rotary Club members and their families, local Rotaract and interact students will be involved in the construction of the meals.
