Rotary Club of Laramie is a lead club for a global grant to bring improved health to indigenous people of Tzunana, on the shore of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala through construction of 250 sustainable eco-latrines. Rotarian's from sponsoring clubs, including Laramie and Cheyenne, are observing the project from March 15-19, 2017. A Univ of Wyoming Rotoract student from the School of Pharmacy has submitted an application for a District Scholarship of $1000 to participate and to conduct a sustainability assessment of the project during the trip and on return. This assessment will be shared with the project leadership and local Rotary Clubs. The scholarship will be used to offset costs of the trip, airfare, lodging, travel insurance and report preparation.
