Project Description Country: USA Location: Hope tutoring Arlington T Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Books, tutoring, and nutritional assistance to grade school students at Hope Tutoring in Arlington, TX Hope tutoring provides a conducive atmosphere for young student to learn with an adult individual on a one to one basis. Recently, adults assisting with the program discovered that many of the students lacked in nutritional needs before and after the tutoring sessions. The concept of the project is address the needs of learning as well as nutritional needs of the child in order to promote learning. Many of the children are from families where meals are not sufficient. The project will provide books, tutoring and snacks during and after sessions.
