Project Description Country: USA Location: Oak Park-River Forest, IL Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution Activity Type: Peace: General Summary: Rotarians will serve meals to domestic violence victims and their families at Sarah’s Inn Clients of Sarah's Inn arrive with their children for counseling and group sessions on Thursday evenings. Rotarians will prepare and serve meals to the families and box up leftovers for families to use as lunches and future meals. Sarah's Inn counselors emphasize that our presence serving meals - and showing community support for victims of violence - is as important as the food itself. The club will provide meals quarterly (July, October, January, April) and feed about 40 people each evening.
