The ministry helps foster care children ages 9-18 years old who have been removed from their homes for reasons of abuse or neglect.

La Mesa Rotary Involvement in Camp Julian Oaks Grant
We want the entire Club to be involved in some aspect of the grant
Some of the funds will be used for educational pod casts purchasing a video camera, sound proofing and host subscription. 5-10 Rotarians will assist by being speakers on career options, budgeting and life skills planning.
Meet-ups: These live meeting allow CJO kids to meet not only with each other but with community speakers and mentors, trade schools and colleges. Rotarians will be speakers at this events and host onsite educational events.
Benevolent fund: This fund is provided via an application process for individuals who need funds to pay for transportation, schooling materials and work place needs. Rotarians will purchase requested items for individual requests.
Speaker and mentor fees for travel expenses as needed.
Training materials to allow individuals to complete their GED's, certificate programs. When possible, Rotarians will assist in obtaining materials at a reduced cost.
