Project Description Country: USA Location: Sun City West, AZ 85375 Total Budget: $10,856 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Dictionaries for 2015 Fall Third Grade Students in 30 Different Schools Distribute Dictionaries to 3,000 third grade School students in approximately 30 different schools during November and December of 2015. The goal of this project is to put a dictionary in as many third grade students in our immediate and outlying areas as possible. Our efforts continue to grow every year to include more schools and more students. The need is great and our club is passionate about helping our young folks become more literate while showing them there are people who care about them so much as to give them their very dictionary. We are requesting additional funding (over the typical $3,000) because we are distributing approximately 50 dictionaries per SCW Rotary member. Our Club is a regular contributor to TRF and we were not able to receive a grant last year. Any consideration to our request would be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to fund the requested amount then we will graciously accept whatever the committee deems appropriate.
