Summary: Tires for 4 vans and school uniforms for 100 students
Our club has been a sponsor of Door of Faith Orphanage in Mexico since 1988. Because we have been in communication with the orphanage throughout that time, we were informed by District staff at Rotary Foundation training that a participating Mexican Rotary club would not be necessary. The orphanage uses 4 vans to transport students to school and outings. The tires on all 4 vans (which we helped purchase) are worn and in need of replacement. The estimated cost is $800 for each van or $3,200 total. In addition, the students are required to wear uniforms to school. We can purchase uniforms for 100 students at $10 each. We propose to spend $1,000 for this purpose. The project should be completed by January 31, 2016.
