Summary: Provide and distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need before the 2015~2016 school year starts
There has been a growing need in recent years in the ABC School District for backpacks and basic school supplies for students from low-income families from the elementary level to high school. We are looking to partner up with the ABC Education Foundation, the non-profit arm of the school district, to raise the funds, and execute the preparation and distribution of the backpacks to local schools in the Cerritos/Artesia area right before the school year begins. The grant will be used to help purchase backpacks and school supplies. Our members will be involved in packing the brand new backpacks and delivering and distributing them out to schools. The project will take place during the last week of August 2015.
