Reduce infectious diseases through the provision of baths worthy of homes for families living in extreme poverty in marginalized communities in the municipality of Ahome, Sinaloa, México.
It will include a training program of cleaning and personal hygiene and food preparation for the beneficiary families, as well as the installation and construction of bathrooms in homes that do not have them.
While attending healthcare medical campaigns that our Club has held in the past two years in marginalized communities in the municipality of Ahome, we realized the serious problem of the lack of decent sanitation facilities in these communities, so we decided to help in solving this problem in coordination with the Directorate General for Social and Human Development (DIDESOL) of the municipality of Ahome, identifying the specific needs of a community through the Charter application No. 7222 of the commissioner Guadalupe Diaz Verduzco dated January 6, 2015 to the Director of Social Development of the municipality of Ahome requesting the provision of ecological toilets for 30 families in the community. That request was referred to the Board of Water Supply and Sewerage in the Municipality of Ahome (JAPAMA) asking to solve the problem with the construction of drainage for this community, but after more than one year this has not been possible because they do not have land for the location and construction of the lift station and collectors for the drainage system; this is why we chose the community of Campo Gastelum.
