Project Description Country: USA Location: Libby MT Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Secure new electrical service to community tennis courts and facilities U-Serve Libby (501c3 org) was created in 2011 to construct new tennis/pickleball courts for the community. The courts are used with no charge by the community or high school tournaments. This matching grant would bring the initial electrical service to the site (Phase I) as part of a multi-year project to increase availability and amenities. ( Phase II would provide the lights and Phase III would provide permanent toilets). The completion of this matching grant would bring electrical power to the site and jumpstart a drive to raise an additional $10,000 for completing the 2nd and 3rd phases in following years. The site is leased from the city by non profit "U Serve" and easy access is provided for all users. Power will be installed by Flathead Electric Coop and a licensed electrician. Rotary will provide volunteer labor for cleanup and landscaping. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) Later phases of the project (Phase II and III) would be funded by other pledges for an additional $4150.51. This grant is for $2500.00 from DDF (and $2500 from Kootenai Valley Rotary). As attached budget sheet shows - the total budget, materials and labour is $9150.50. **NOTE: revised budget (july 2020) uploaded to the project due to increased costs incurred, because Flathead Electric wants to install underground utility (as opposed to highwire).
