Project Description Country: USA Location: LAKE HAVASU CITY Total Budget: $13,000 Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Economic and community development Activity Type: Health: General Summary: FUNDING FOR HOMELESS CHILDREN IN LAKE HAVASU CITY, FOR CLOTHING, FOOD, SCHOOL FEES, DENTAL & VISION London Bridge Rotary has requested the assistance of both Sunrise Rotary and Lake Havasu Rotary for this project in the amount of $1000.00 each, and with the request that each club apply for the matching grant for $3000.00 each. This project is for the benefit of the Homeless Children in Lake Havasu City, our current homeless population is 128 children. This grant will enable us to assist these children with the following specific items that have been identified through the Lake Havasu School District. Funds for School and Athletic fees, Funds for Medical, dental and vision expenses, clothing for school uniforms, shoes and jackets, funds for after school programs, funds for backpacks for weekend snacks and toiletries, meals during the school day. London Bridge Rotary Club will over see the funding of this project by reviewing financial on a quarterly basis to make sure that our dollars a being used as I have addressed above. The general public will know that this is a Rotary Project, by all clubs joining for the presentation of funds, and by an article in the local paper regarding what we are doing and how our community can also help with additional donations for the project.
