Rain Water Harvest for Schools

$16,051

The project is aimed at providing rain water harvesting tanks to 7 schools in different rural areas in Uganda. The project is to benefit over 4,000 children mostly in primary schools.

Most of these schools are either Church founded or community based and provide education to the disadvantaged needy children in rural areas, who do not have access to piped water.

Funding of this project will benefit the above mentioned vulnarable and needy children in their daily welfare at school and alleviate their sanitation and health plight they endure. This will improve hygiene, reduce water borne deseases and other deases among these children, and save the children from the daily cores of fetching water from distant wells during class. It will also reduce cases of child molestation cases these children face while going to the wells.
