Water Harvesters

The project is intended to provide water harvesters to selected schools in Tororo District, in Eastern Uganda approx.250kilometres from Kampala where RC of Bukoto where RC of Bukoto meets. The selected schools are rural and comprises of children from poor communities. The schools do not have water and students spend time moving to wels and boreholes which are a distance away to draw water in jerricans for school use. This is most times inadequate. The schools are Soni Kayinja primary School, Aruu Nenin Primary School, Senda Pamanyaga Primary School, Pajangango Primary School, Amagoro Primary School, Sere Primary School.(Each cost approx. USD.1,911)

The provision of water harvestors will go along way in solving diseases related to hygiene since students will be able to wash their hands after visiting the toilets and before eating anything. It will also help students concentrate on their studies. Each shall cost USDUSD1,911

The following have water tanks but no gutters were placed by the distruict Local govermnments which renders the tanks useless. These are schools in Paya Subcounty Tororo District, one of the worst areas that lacks both spring and running water.They are : Per Per Primary School, Sop Sop Primary Sch, Pambaya Primary School. To make the tanks operational each requires approx.USD700 *4(Total Shs.USD2,800)
