	D-1360    South Africa - Port Elizabeth Missionvale Healthcare $50,650 Missionvale is a shanty town in the outskirts of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The Missionvale Care Center was started in 1988 by Sister Ethel Normoyle. Of the 120,000 residents over 75% have been affected by HIV/Aids. The Care Center currently has a staff of one full time nurse, 20 care givers and volunteers who visit approximately 35-40 patients per day. Thier current budget is $4,500 per month for medicine, supplies and equipment. This makes only a small dent in the overall problem of health care at Missionvale. The money we raise will go directly to obtaining basic medicines and supplies needed to help make a difference in the lives of children, women and men of Missionvale.
