English Dictionaries

$30,000

The purpose of this project is to provide 60,000 English Dictionaries to students and appropriate teachers and supervisors in Kenya.

This will facilite the education of those receiving the dictionaries. English is taught in schools in Kenya and becomes the language of instruction in the higher grades.

District 5340 and 9200 have a 10 year history of working with each other primarily in the fields of education. This project has been suggested by Rotarians in District 9200 who have agreed to oversee the distribution of the books. Our two districts continue to under take GSE using uni-vocational teams made up of teachers. Teachers involved in these exchanges will also facilitate the process.
