Spring Food

$49,000

This project is a project of Serving Hands International

The most basic need for the poor families that live in the hills on the outskirts of Tijuana is food. In December of 2004, we want to do a holiday distribution of food to approximately 5000 families in 13 different colonias. We have 3 Tijuana charities that will assist Rotary clubs in the distribution of the food. Rotarians will be involved in the purchase, and the distribution of the food. The Tijuana charities will select the most needy families prior to the distribution. We have attached a budget for this grant and the name of the colonias where the food will be distributed. We ask for a timely approval of this grant so we can accomplish this worthwhile project early in December.
