Park Facilities

$5,250

The purpose of the project is to provide park facilities for Homa Bay youth for a Homa Bay Rotary Park.

The whole of Homa Bay Municipal Council has no functional park for recreation (for children, youths and adults). Youth (with immense energy) are most affected. Such a facility would provide an ideal place for recreation during weekends or public holidays.

Steve Brown from the International Sponsor (IS) has been to Homa Bay. In October of 2004 the IS sponsored Dr. David Paa to travel to Homa Bay and provide services to the community. The IS is the co-sponsor of the Homa Bay RC. The IS has an ongoing interest in working with the Homa Bay RC and its members. The IS is providing most of the funds for the project. The IS communicates by e-mail with the Homa Bay Rotarians. Rotarians from both clubs will work to together on this project.
