	D-510    Uganda - Kampala Rain Water Harvesting Tanks $15,000 The project is to provide Rain Water Harvesting Tanks to 7 schools for safe and clean water. It will be implemented in the poor suburb of Kampala and in rural villages to, benefit over 3200 children, disadvantaged. Most of these are schools which were established by local communities to cater for the needy and the under privileged children from poor sections of the community, including orphans and the disabled. Funding of this project will benefit thousands of vulnerable and desperate children in their daily welfare at school and alleviate their sanitation and health plight they endure. Improved Hygiene will help to curb the rampant spread of disease, and save these children from the daily chores of fetching water from distant wells during class time.
